Lahore: Former Punjab Chief Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has been released from Lakhpat Jail and has arrived at Zahoor Elahi Palace.
The Lahore High Court ordered Elahi’s release today, granting him bail in the Punjab Assembly recruitment case.
According to reports, the Punjab Police had implicated Elahi in 20 cases related to the events of May 9. These included three cases in Lahore, four in Faisalabad, eleven in Rawalpindi, and one case each in the districts of Attock and Gujranwala.
